Lights, camera, action ...

It's been another solid week of training, as I've managed to wrap up three courses: After Effects Compositing, Texturing in Maya and Lighting in Maya.

The compositing course finished off with an in-depth coverage of lens effects, abberrations, etc, some of which are shown in the above shot. Whilst the lighting course ended with some image-based lighting (IBL), shown below.

I'm looking forward to incorporating some IBL into some of my showreel work over the coming months. So I will be ordering a mirror ball next week so I can create some HDRI environments of my own ... once I've worked out how to attach the mirror ball to a camera tripod!
